Exchange Motivation

So, what is my motivation apply for exchange program? Short answer, I want to go exchange, learn culture in other country, do the social work that will make an impact on society, get some new experiences that make a life changes and develope my personal skill. I’ve been dreaming to go exchange since I was in senior high school. Once, when I was in senior high school, I applied for an exchange program too. At that time, I passed the first selection and unfortunately I had no chance to go exchange. Since that day I promise to myself to try again in a future. And now, I try to make my dream come true. In my opinion learn other country’s culture is an excited thing to do. I can explore many things related with local people daily life, their culture, daily activities, language even their mind set. Learning something real is always make me interested. And also I like doing social thing. It’s true that you aren’t paid for your work, but in other side you can get a self satisfaction that you can help people in a sincere way without expect a feedback. I believe in these words “the more you give, the more you get”. Believe if you give from your weakness you will get more than what you give.

Experience is the best teacher in this world. If you try and you fail, all you have to do are learn your mistake, fix it and don’t do the same mistake in the future. Experience will give you so many knowledge that you haven’t known berfore, that you don’t get from the school. Here, I want to add my experience, something really new for me. I want to fullfill my youth time with many things that I love and give me positive changes.

Explore and develop my personal skill will help me a lot. I realize that in a work world, soft skill is needed beside the hard skill. At college, I’m preparing for that needed. Many ways I can do to explore and develop personal skill, by going exchange for example. I can learn how to be a good leader, how to make a partnership, how to respect people, how to work in a team, how to communicate with people, and so on.
